Professor Vuai is a Professor of Chemistry and Deputy Vice Chancellor- Academic, Research and Consultancy at Mbeya University of Science and Technology. Before this appointment, he served the position of Principal, College of Natural and Mathematical Sciences of the University of Dodoma from July 2016 to June 2024, Dean of the School of Mathematical Sciences at the College of Natural and Mathematical Sciences from 2011 to 2017 and Head of the Department position from 2009 to 2011. Professor Vuai is the founder and Director of Dodoma Demographic Surveillance System located in Chamwino District, Dodoma. Professor Vuai is a member of the African Research Implementation Science and Education (ARISE) Network, which includes nine countries from Africa, Europe, and the
USA. He has collaborated with renowned research groups from the USA, Germany, Italy, Spain, Japan, South Africa, and the UK. Professor Vuai has extensive experience in organizing scientific conferences, summer schools, and translating scientific findings into policy issues.
