In collaboration with the Harvard T. H. Chan School of Public Health and the University of Dodoma (UDOM), AAPH is implementing a research project titled ‘Meals, Education, and Gardens for In-School Adolescents’ (MEGA). This project aims to determine the longer-term effectiveness of an updated school-based intervention package on reducing adolescent malnutrition and to assess the implementation of the updated school-based intervention package. For this, AAPH is hiring temporary study research assistants for data collection as described herein.
In collaboration with the ARISE Network partners, AAPH is implementing the Reducing nutrition-related noncommunicable diseases in adolescence and youth: interventions and policies to boost nutrition fluency and diet quality in Africa (ARISE-NUTRINT)project. This project aims at improving adolescent health surveillance by better understanding diets, nutrition and physical activity-related risks of non-communicable diseases, co-designing and paper prototype of adolescent nutrition fluency intervention and evaluate its impact, performance and cost-effectiveness. For this, AAPH is hiring temporary study research assistants for the third wave of data collection as described herein.
The consultant shall provide Entrepreneurship and Innovation Expert support at convenings of the ARISE Network members and develop a long-term plan to sustainably accelerate health workforce development and job creation in the ARISE countries and beyond. Ultimately, the consultant will facilitate development of pathways for integration of young people, including women and girls, into the civil service workforce.

The AAPH-IP receives both local and international interns interested to gain practical experience and skills in public health Research, Training, and Practice.
