Senior Manager - Strategic Partnerships and Programs

Amani currently serves as Senior Manager - Strategic Partnerships and Programs as well as the Board Secretary at Africa Academy for Public Health (AAPH) where he provides technical and administrative support towards addressing public health priority challenges in sub-Saharan Africa through innovative scientific evidence, training, capacity building and knowledge translation. Prior to this, he served as a Research and Programs Manager and a Research Associate before that. He holds a BSc in Biochemistry with a Minor in Business and a MSc in Biochemistry (MBiochem) from Arizona State University (ASU). Experienced Leadership Consultant with a demonstrated history of working in the biomedical research, public health and pharmaceuticals industry. Amani is skilled in administrating nonprofit organizations’ activities, corporate governance, social media management, and entrepreneurship. He is a strong patient-centered-care and personalized medicine advocate and aspires to spearhead accessibility of quality and affordable healthcare services on the African continent through evidence-based policy dialogues and spreading awareness about prevention and cure of diseases.
