NOTICE: DISPOSAL OF ASSETS

AAPH in collaboration with Harvard T. H. Chan School of Public Health and a number of local and foreign institutions have conducted several nutrition supplementation projects in Tanzania among diverse vulnerable population since 2012. In the operationalization of such projects, Trackers are usually employed to make follow-up on clients who miss appointments, or need extension services in their households. For this reason, a number of motorcycles were purchased to felicitate Trackers’ mobility. Following project conclusion and closure, AAPH Management stored the said motorcycles.

During an update Board Meeting on July 31^st 2023, The AAPH Board APPROVED that the AAPH Management should dispose twenty-four (24) AAPH Motorcycles per the Financial Manual Article 13.2.4 sub-section iii on page 41; to free up space for AAPH to renovate the organization’s iron container storage and archive important documents. The Board also APPROVED the retaining of the newest motorcycle (1) to support the incoming projects at AAPH.

On behalf of AAPH Management, I hereby announce the commencing of bidding for the motorcycles listed below in Annex 1, and posted at the AAPH Office. Bidding is open to AAPH staff and other external interested parties up to 12^th December 2023.

Bidding procedures as agreed-upon by the AAPH Asset Disposal Committee:

1. A ballot box shall be placed at the AAPH Office reception area.
2. A bidder shall fill in a bidding form (Annex 2, also provided at the AAPH Office reception area) that will contain the following information:
   1. Name of the bidder, employee number (if applicable), and address
   2. Plate Number for the motorcycle
   3. Amount of bidding
   4. Signature, date, and phone number
3. Each motorcycle bid shall be filled independently, if one individual bibber wishes to bid for multiple motorcycles.
4. The bid winners shall process payment to AAPH and receive a payment receipt together with documentation necessary for change of ownership.
5. The bid winner shall be given a period of one week to change ownership before they are given the purchased motorcycle.
6. Failure to do so shall result in re-selling of the said motorcycle to the next bidder.
7. Bidding is open effective immediately for a period of two weeks.
